I believe the best films come from real connection and honest emotion, the way your friends laugh, the quiet breath before the vows, the dance floor that doesn’t slow down. My goal is to give you the freedom to experience it all while I document it in a way that feels authentic and alive. When you watch your film, I want it to feel like stepping back into the day, the sounds, the movement, the energy, the emotion, exactly as it was.

I’m Jake — husband, father of four, and filmmaker drawn to stories that feel alive. The outdoors has always been my grounding place, and family is at the center of everything I do.

Those two worlds — wild landscapes and deep connection — shape how I see and film a wedding. I don’t show up to direct or manufacture moments. I show up to see you as you are, to capture the energy, emotion, and meaning that will matter long after the day has passed.

Every couple and wedding is different, which is why I keep things simple and flexible. Every package includes full-day coverage so nothing meaningful gets missed. You can add things like a full-length documentary edit, rehearsal dinner coverage, or a day-after adventure session to make the experience your own. I don’t charge travel fees for weddings in Washington, Oregon, or California, and I limit the number of weddings I take each year so every story gets the time and attention it deserves. You’ll get a film that feels like being there again, with real sound, real moments, and the people who mean the most.

Jake did SUCH an amazing job with our wedding film. Our biggest worry was ending up with a film like every other one out there - slow-moving and focusing on the sentimental things. We told Jake we wanted to hone in on the fun parts of the wedding and--oh my god, we were laughing throughout the entire watch party. He captured all the moments we hoped he would, and he paired the audio and video clips to great humorous effect. Day-of, he was a genuinely fun human to be around, but he never felt too in-the-way either (another fear of ours). If you have any kind of vision for your wedding film, Jake is your guy.

Jake is hands down one of my favorite vendors we had, and I mean that. From first booking him to receiving our film, he was kind, receptive, and made sure we got everything we wanted. He even stayed a little longer than we had him booked so he could catch our last dance. Truly the best!

  • Yes, absolutely. I film throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. There are no travel fees for weddings in Washington, Oregon, or California, and I’m always up for a good adventure anywhere else in the world.

  • Your full film and deliverables usually arrive within 8 weeks. Everything is delivered online in a format you can easily share and download. If 8 weeks is too long, you can get a wedding trailer within 2 weeks.

  • Definitely! You can customize your collection with things like a full-length documentary edit, rehearsal dinner coverage, or a day-after adventure session to make it exactly what you want.
